Lumieos sends notifications to keep you informed about activity relevant to your account, teams, and events.

How Notifications Work

Notifications are generated automatically by the system when something requires your attention — for example, when a team’s registration status changes, a new bulletin is published, or an action item needs to be completed. There is no separate page in Account Settings for managing notification preferences; the system does not currently offer per-category or per-channel opt-out controls.

Delivery

Notifications are delivered in two ways:

  • In-app — A notification badge appears in the top navigation bar. Click it to view your recent notifications. Individual notifications can be marked as read or dismissed.
  • Email digest — Pending notifications are batched and sent to your primary email address. The system waits a short time after a notification is created before sending the digest, so that multiple notifications arriving close together are grouped into a single email rather than separate messages.

What Triggers a Notification

Notifications come from several parts of the platform, including team and event activity, volunteer bulletins, and system messages. The specific notifications you receive depend on your role and the teams or events you are associated with.

If you are not receiving expected notifications, check that your primary email address is verified. Digest emails are sent to your verified primary address. You can manage your email addresses from the Profile tab in Account Settings.
