Creating Your Account
For: All roles
Lumieos uses a passwordless login system — there is no password to remember. Instead, you enter your email address and receive a secure login link that signs you in automatically. New users create their account through the same flow.
Creating an Account
-
Go to your region’s Lumieos instance. Each region has its own web address. Your region’s coordinator or team coach will give you the link.
-
Enter your email address. On the login page, type the email address you want to use and click Send Login Link.
-
Check your email. A login link will arrive in your inbox. The link is valid for 10 minutes. Click it to continue.
-
Complete your profile. If no account exists for your email, Lumieos will ask you to create one. Fill in:
- First name and last name
- Birth month and birth year (required for age verification)
Your email address is pre-filled and cannot be changed at this step.
-
Click Sign Up. Your account is created immediately and you are redirected to the dashboard.
Tip: If you already have an account, clicking the login link logs you in directly — no profile form is shown.
Verifying Your Email
Verifying your email is important because it triggers automatic team matching — the system checks whether your email appears in your region’s roster data and, if so, links you to the correct team.
When you log in using a magic link, the email address you used is automatically verified. There is no separate verification step needed for your primary login email.
If you want to add or verify additional email addresses (for example, if your team registration uses a different email), you can do so from Account Settings — Profile & Email. Additional emails go through a separate verification process with a confirmation link.
Logging In
Once your account exists, logging in follows the same steps as account creation:
- Go to your region’s Lumieos instance.
- Enter your email address and click Send Login Link.
- Check your email and click the link. It expires in 10 minutes.
- You are signed in and redirected to the dashboard.
Passkeys (optional): If your device supports passkeys, a Sign in with Passkey button appears on the login page. Passkeys allow you to sign in without waiting for an email — they use your device’s biometrics or PIN instead. You can set up a passkey from Account Settings after you log in.
Two-factor authentication (2FA): If you have enabled 2FA on your account, you will be prompted for a verification code after clicking the login link:
- Authenticator app — Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).
- SMS — A code is sent to your phone number. Enter it on the screen. You can request a new code if needed (one resend allowed per 60 seconds).
If you have both an authenticator app and SMS set up, the app code is requested first. A link to use SMS instead is shown below the input field.
What’s Next
After logging in for the first time, head to the Dashboard & Action Items page to understand what needs your attention — including any pending agreements, background check steps, or team setup tasks.
